Candeo Vision is a specialist integrator of audio visual systems and video conferencing. They provide industry-leading services in their field and support their customers from the initial concept, all the way through to installation. In this engagement, Candeo Vision brought the Tesrex team in to support them with their customer as we have a good existing relationship.
The Challenge
One of the corporate office buildings at Disneyland Paris had to be closed due to structural failure. This became an emergency situation to relocate all staff to a new temporary office. Candeo Vision was called in to assist with the set up of the new office and build a new network. Time was an important factor in this situation as it was vital that the Disney employees could get back to work as soon as possible. Candeo Vision subsequently reached out to us because of our ability to solve problems quickly that they had seen on previous projects with them. The engagement required a lot of new hardware to be acquired and deployed at the new site in Paris.
The Solution
We began by firstly putting together a Bill of Materials and organised all of the shipping and logistics information to ensure everything could be aligned to the correct dates. Our engineers built initial configurations for the equipment so that once it turned up on site it could be installed, configured and up and running within two weeks. Preparation was key because this was a large scale deployment. In total there were 25 Access Points, 26 Catalyst 9300s, 3 Nexus 3524s and SFPs. We flew our engineers to Paris to work on the deployment.
Our engineers worked with several other integrators to get the new site up and running.
The process took just two to three weeks.
This was much faster than the customer anticipated.
The Benefits
This was an emergency situation for Disney but everything was turned around for them in a short time-period because of Candeo Vision and our support. The engagement was a success and there were no major issues. We were able to lean on our good relationship with suppliers and vendors to ensure that the correct equipment was delivered to the site exactly when it was needed.
All equipment arrived on time.
There were no major issues or delays.
The project was completed in less time than anticipated.
